Tom Dixon Launch Collaboration with Ege Carpets | Tagged

This week welcomes the launch of Tom Dixon's latest collaboration - with custom carpet designers, ege at Stockholm Furniture Fair (9-13 Feb).

In a grimy city like London, there is beauty in deterioration. Patterns and scars are left on the city over time as it is built, deconstructed and rebuilt. The city is defined by the impact of the materials used in its construction.

Just as the red London brick is a symbol of the city, the smog of its industrial past, the tidal etchings left behind by the tidal waters of the Thames, and the convergence of its transport links have transformed and shaped its face.

London Brick Diffuser
Limited edition 'London Brick Diffuser' - Tom Dixon has long been influenced by the materials of the industrial cityscape.

Tom Dixon’s collaboration with ege, entitled Industrial Landscape, is inspired by just this. A collection of carpets featuring a series of patterns and textures created by the building, degradation and erosion of the rough, raw, everyday surfaces that define the urban cityscape.
