PRODUCTION COORDINATOR

As Production Coordinator you will be a key member of our multidisciplinary Design Research Studio. You will coordinate and drive extraordinary NEW narratives for our products and environments and lead resource planning of Graphics and Content – and the associated budgets. The role also involves coordination of social media on Tom Dixon, Design Research Studio, The Coal Office and The Manzoni digital channels. You will assist our Exhibition & Events - and our Communications teams on key events and support the Studio on external client projects.

This is a full-time role based in London and reports into the Creative Director.

We are looking for an exceptional individual, to develop and drive the Tom Dixon direct Contract Sales business, focusing on the UK but also supporting key projects for the regional sales team across EMEA.

The Contract Sales Manager will have commercial objectives to exceed sales and profit targets and drive a culture of new prospect acquisition from either their current contacts or superb networking ability.

The Accounts Payable Controller will be a key member of the transactional finance team ensuring that all transactions are posted with any required reporting done accurately within the agreed deadlines. The hands on nature of this role would complement someone who is currently studying for their AAT or ACCA and looking to gain further industry experience.

The Trade Sales Manager will be responsible for looking after and building on our existing network of small contract clients, ensuring we are growing our customer service and brand awareness within the NY residential trade community. We are looking for someone with an existing client base and proven track record of excellent sales in this area, who is knowledgeable in our industry. Furniture and Lighting knowledge is key to being able to quickly turn this role into a success.

This is a full-time role base in New York and reports into the US Retail Manager.

Launched in 2007, Design Research Studio is the interior design arm of the Design Research Group. High profile projects include Shoreditch House and Paramount private members’ clubs as well as Joseph’s flagship store on Old Bond Street, London. Recently completed projects include Barbecoa, Jamie Oliver and Adam Perry Lang’s new restaurant in the One New Change development beside St Paul’s, London and Tazmania Ballroom, a private members club in the Central district of Hong Kong.

Tom Dixon rose to prominence in the mid 1980’s as 'the talented untrained designer with a line in welded salvage furniture'. Having worked for Italian manufacturer Cappellini where he designed the iconic S chair; Tom then went on to create his own company, 'Eurolounge', under which he made and sold the much celebrated Jack light. Dixon was appointed head of design by Habitat in 1998 and later became Creative Director until his departure in January 2008. Dixon was awarded the Order of the British Empire in 2001.
