THE SOLEBICH APARTMENT 2020 IN COLOGNE
Extraordinary Tom Dixon objects showcased in Cologne's Furniture Fair in January 2020
For the second time, the SoLebIch-Apartment opened during the Design festival PASSAGEN Interior Design Week in Cologne. In the historical location of the QVEST Hotel (pictured above) exclusive novelties and trends from different interior brands were presented in a homely environment, including Tom Dixon's objects. Ultimately, the founders of the online interior magazine SoLebIch.de moved into the SoLebIch-Apartment for one week and the results were astounding.
Our Design Research Studio exclusive CORK table first revealed at Milan Design Week in April 2019. Accompanied by our FAT upholstery chair range, launched in April 2019, has been designed to hug the body and to allow for multiple sitting positions.
THE CONCEPT
As explained by SoLebIch:
''In everyday life, we often yearn for intense moments that promise us happiness, joy, contentment or inspiration. Many of these moments are created in cooperation with friends or strangers, some also in togetherness or togetherness. With the SoLebIch-Apartment 2020 we have started looking for places of intense experiences: in the salon we celebrate in the familiarity of good friendships, the hideaway and the bedroom are energizing, sensual retreats and in the New York hotel lobby there are inspiring encounters between travelers.''
Some of our extraordinary objects captured in this 'homely environment'
by the team at SoLebIch:
Our unique and geometric artefacts: SWIRL candelabras and table
A simple, honest design, inspired by materials and processes of the industrial revolution: our SCREW table with white marble
Our ROCK set of two stackable and reconfigurable candle holders that create domestic sculptural interventions.
Our FORM vessel and teapot made from spun brass, polished and then dipped in a warm gold wash to give a subtle matt surface.
