Flask

Flask is like a mysterious chemistry experiment. Inspired by the sharp and functional geometry of chemical laboratory equipment each pendant is made up of two, hand-blown, glass components: flask and hood. The ridged and rounded base refracts the light, while the glass shade, in two finishes, covers the flask lamp fitting, reducing glare.

The rippled clear glass lens refracts the light giving a warm, concentric and comforting glow.

The Smoke finish is made of clear glass and hand painted in grey, while the Oil version is made of opaque black glass and hand painted with an iridescent finish. This iridescent effect was much prized among the ceramicists and glassmakers of the arts and crafts period, remeniscent of petrol on water or a dragonfly wing.
