Bone is a series of sculptural solid brass bowls bearing a bone-like quality. Cast in solid brass with a matte finish each piece is formed into an intricate, curved lattice. The collection also includes a trivet and napkin rings.
The Bone family is inspired by nature and the way in which bones provide support, drawing to mind intricate lattice patterns and sculptural artefacts. Made of sand cast solid brass, the bowls can be used as fruit bowls or contemporary table top sculptures and the Trivet is cast as one solid piece of brass, allowing it to withstand intense heat. They are food safe but not dishwasher safe. The objects will oxidise over time to create a unique patina. This can be prevented by using them for decorative purposes only, or with dry food. Humidity and liquids will accelerate the process of oxidisation.
