Upper Riverside Apartments by Tom Dixon's Design Research Studio

Located on the 15th floor of Greenwich Peninsula Upper Riverside Apartments, Tom Dixon’s Design Research Studio have taken inspiration from the maritime themes of the Greenwich context. A  monochromatic palette of glossy white tiles, contrasted with rough-hewn stone walls and plaster allow the subtle design details to stand out as the constantly evolving natural light of the peninsula brings a wide variety of colour tones and shadow to the interior.

An undulating stratified ceiling is inspired by the tidal nature of the Thames and the layered, split face Cappadocia marble walls provide a strong textural backdrop to the pool.

Portholes and circular geometries appear as a recurring detail throughout the spaces; in the bespoke entrance doors, passivated metal dividers in the gym areas and the mirrors mounted on a sculptural bathroom vanity that appears to elevate itself from the ground.
