Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of ‘wabi-sabi’ – beauty that is imperfect and impermanent, Lustre is created by hand in the Netherlands by artisan craftsmen using a ceramic clip casting process. The shapes are inspired by Art Deco and Mayan temples to be a decorative and sculptural addition to a space. Soft edges and dripping are integral to the finish of the product, which is hand-sprayed with a special glaze to create its iridescent sheen. This process also makes each light totally unique. The colour can be anything from a pale lime to a deep bottle green.
