There are so many situations where just a spot, dollop or portion of light is necessary. Whether by the sofa, by the bedside or the writer’s desk, a small pool of light allows you to highlight and promote luminosity.
Whether you’re creating an architectural feature, reading late at night or adding ambience to a room, each of Tom Dixon’s table lamps offer unique types of luminescent glow. We’ve experimented with materials, shapes and sizes to create differing effects that cast shadows, throw direct light or diffuse ambient luminescence.
With STONE, we use the materiality of marble and its translucent properties to diffuse and distort the warm light coming from the brass capped bulb.
The BELL light came from the idea of a project for a hotel light, combined with a ‘magic floor’ as well as a table light. Its polished dome takes on the characteristics of its surroundings whilst the diffused light appears from underneath.
BASE creates an almost Dickensian look with its industrial cast metal base and metallic shade.
A variation on the original BEAT Light, this table version is a slender articulated arm which can be adjusted to direct its beam of light.
