‘With twenty years of exhibitions, installations, restaurants, gigs and monasteries at FUORISALONE, we felt it was time to surprise ourselves and our customers with our first ever appearance at EUROLUCE – the world’s pre-eminent lighting show at the heart of the biggest and most important design show: Salone Internazionale del Mobile.’ Tom


On 6th Tom says: “This year we want MORE. Much Much More. More colour, more variations, more unexpected combinations in floor lamps and chandeliers, table tops and textiles to give our design afficionados a deeper, wider palette of opportunity to help build perfect interiors. More flexibility in where we can illuminate and how we design, so that’s why we call this year CHOICE. The essential skill in the construction of special spaces requires judicial choices. So, we worked and worked to open up the collection to this unexpectedly vast series of possibilities.”

Also launching for the first time were the new limited-edition ELEMENTS Earth diffusers and medium candles, now available with Tom’s handwritten TWENTY brushstrokes applied across the surface.

The new TANK drinkware giftsets feature striking platinum brushstrokes to complement the bold shapes of the collection. Hand-painted by skilled artisans, the silver strokes are a nod to the brand’s obsession with metallics and the TWENTY anniversary logo.


Finally, Root made its grand debut as the latest addition to the iconic ELECTIC family that already includes London, Royalty, Alchemy and Underground scents. Root has a spicy, dry and sharp aroma extracted from ginger and turmeric. It is the first time that turmeric is being used by the fragrance industry.


At the Press Preview, the new AW22 accessories were displayed on mirrored surfaces in the Gallery of the Coal Office, presented amongst suspended roots and vines, earthy soils and organic materials. Guests enjoyed fragrant ginger tea, organic ginger crisps and platinum hand-painted macarons with ginger cream and turmeric, all complementing the aroma of the new Root fragrance.


Keeping in theme with the TWENTY campaign that explores sustainable and innovative materials, Tom Dixon partnered with green packaging company Notpla to offer guests custom-made edible ginger shots in 100% biodegradable Ooho sachets, made entirely from seaweed.


The latest additions to the ECLECTIC, TANK and ELEMENTS families also debuted with their new and improved packaging. The polystyrene and plastic inserts have been removed and – to reduce materials – the new accessories are now available in a simple, yet robust packaging solution made of recyclable and biodegradable brown card.


The AW22 collections are available to buy in the UK at the end of July and globally in September from all Tom Dixon stockists.
