Floor Lights
With our eclectic array of floor lights, we express our sculptural attitude and experiment with direction, diffusion and materials. We believe we shouldn't just have something which works at night when the light is on, but something that is also an attractive and sculptural artefact during the day.
The FELT floor light and MELT standing chandelier are reliant on triangulated legs for form and function. Available in a grey or white finish, FELT has a textural and minimalist aesthetic. MELT standing chandelier features seven gold shades in a variety of different sizes and acts as an artefact thanks to its ornate appearance.
BASE, BEAT and BELL floor lights use the weighty properties of its material composition to remain standing. Each form has a slender and articulated arm that is anchored and supported with a substantial footprint base.
The minimal silhouette of the OPAL floor lights is achieved through the design of the stem and base. OPAL Arc features a cantilevered arm extending from a massive conical floor base, thus creating a sculptural overreach lamp.
OPAL Cone includes a vertical arm supported by a pyramid base.
We know that there’s an infinite number of ways to light a space. Floor lights offer a flexible solution that can direct pools of light to specific areas.
At Tom Dixon Studio we continue to explore different materials and manufacturing processes in the pursuit of finding interesting lighting solutions and arrangements. We experiment with differing shapes and sizes to create interesting effects that cast shadows, throw direct light or diffuse ambient luminescence.
