Melt is a beautifully distorted surface light in a modern Gold finish. Emitting an attractive, mildly hallucinogenic light, this Tom Dixon wall light creates a mesmirizing melting hot-blown glass effect when on and a mirror-finish effect when off. Made in Germany using a high tech manufacturing technique to achieve the perfect melted orb.
The range is blow moulded and vacuum metallised - techniques that have been developed over several years, working with German engineering and manufacturing experts.
Melt also comes as a chandelier, table, floor and pendant light. Available in a contemporary Chrome, Copper and Smoke finish.
LED version available.
Obsessed with the idea of creating an imperfect, organic and naturalistic lighting object, Melt was created in collaboration with FRONT – a Swedish design collective. Melt is evocative of molten glass, the interior of a melting glacier, or images of deep space.
Melt is available in a series of Pendants, Chandeliers, Surface, Floor and Table lights.
