Situated in a Victorian wharf building opposite Canary Wharf, the top floor of this large office development has been converted into eight luxury penthouses. Each apartment has a large living space with an open plan kitchen area, plus two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and dressing rooms. The materials palette has been carefully sourced, using the Tom Dixon manufacturing network, in order to sit happily with the vernacular of exposed brick, mechanical lifts and pulleys and rough oak floors.
The project is part of a larger regeneration of the wharf building by architects Hawkins \ Brown. Crowning the building are 8 no. 2,400 – 3,800 sqft penthouses designed in collaboration by our Design Research Studio.
"The overarching concept that we developed for the building is to create ‘a village within the contours of the wharf’, providing a wealth of curated facilities that will support the new businesses and residents alike." – Hawkins \ Brown
Built between 1862 and 1898 it sits as one of London’s most impressive collection of wharf buildings and was one of the last remaining unconverted warehouses in Wapping. Throughout the development we curated a mix of Tom Dixon lighting and furniture, custom designed Tom Dixon pieces as well as other carefully selected products.
