FAT America Tour
This February, Tom will embark on a coast-to-coast tour of the US and Canada, unveiling key pieces of his 2019 collection in a prequel to the official launch at Salone del Mobile in April. Using some of the lessons learned in the rock’n’roll business, Tom hits the road to preview his new creations in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Austin, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver.
Each stop will feature never-before-seen FAT furniture and OPAL lighting as well as talks and parties. The Big Fat American Tour will not only be for professionals in architecture and interior design, but also design fans and local friends in an experience that embodies everything Tom Dixon is known for – bringing extraordinary objects and ideas into both the creative arena and home.
Parties will mark each stop along the tour, as Tom is joined by Swedish company Teenage Engineering - renowned for its high-end pocket-sized synthesizers - resulting in the perfect duo of disruptors.
‘All too often, we have shown our newness in America months or even years after European launches – this time we want to completely reverse the equation and preview our top secret innovations in the New World first. These will be the latest objects for 2019 and live prototyping for 2020.’
