Surface Magazine brings a broadcasting station to London Underground for New York Design Week

13 Interviews filmed over 2 days featuring Tom Dixon, Winka Dubbeldam, Eames Demetrios, Brian Janusiak, Gisue Hariri, Pascale Wakim & Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte, Jon Call, Dr. Andrew Dent, Matthias Hollwich, Willy Wong, Jon Call, Bradford Shellhammer, and David Weeks.

Channelling a downtown Jazz Bar meets old-world theatre feel, Surface magazine's subterranean broadcasting station went “on air” Friday and Saturday of London Underground. The team selected 13 New York design enthusiasts to give their view on 5 issues centered on New York and Luminosity.  Visitors were invited to watch the interviews from our pop-up Stumptown Coffee bar sponsored by Fab which served free coffee all week.

Injecting a slice of London innovation into New York Design Week, London Underground is our very first satellite show in the USA. An underground space complete with a Luminosity show, a subterranean broadcasting station from Surface magazine, pop-up shop from Fab.com and pop up coffee bar from Stumptown Coffee Roasters, within Bleecker Street Theatre basement, in the epicentre of NoHo, Manhattan.
