The Dock welcomes Faye Toogood and her House Hightops as part of Luminosity at The Dock and Be Open Space.

Faye Toogood has created a workshop installation for Be Open Space that celebrates the ‘post-industrial’ era – the resurgence of individuals and small collectives applying their own skills within the city to produce, make, manufacture and sell direct.

In a bid to industrialise craftsmanship, the installation shows transparency of production from manufacturing to shop floor.

The workers of Faye Toogood invite visitors to experience the making and process behind House Hightops in their factory shop.

Exclusive to London Design Festival 2012, these hand-made house shoes in the style of Eighties hightop trainers are fashioned out of felt blankets.

Visitors have the chance to purchase a pair for £20.
