Surface Magazine brings a broadcasting station to London Underground for New York Design Week
Channelling a downtown Jazz Bar meets old-world theatre feel, Surface magazine's subterranean broadcasting station will go “on air” Friday and Saturday of London Underground. The team have selected 20 New York design enthusiasts to give their view on 5 issues centered on New York and Luminosity. Filmed live on site, the footage will be posted on tomdixon.net/news and on our Facebook page, via surfacemag.com. Visitors are invited to watch the interviews from our pop-up Stumptown Coffee bar sponsored by Fab which will be serving free coffee all week.
Injecting a slice of London innovation into New York Design Week, London Underground is our very first satellite show in the USA. An underground space complete with a Luminosity show, a subterranean broadcasting station from Surface magazine, pop-up shop from Fab.com and pop up coffee bar from Stumptown Coffee Roasters, within Bleecker Street Theatre basement, in the epicentre of NoHo, Manhattan.
