On day 3 on site at MOST, Tom has been teaching Dezeen Studio all about the Digital Industrial Revolution while the first Stamp Lamps appear out of the mega Trumpf machines in the railway staition. We are producing 400 Stamp Lamps and 5 Chairs over the week to be given away at The Great Stamp Giveaway on Saturday 21st April.

We have put our hands to gelato making in the gelateria whilst taking part in the evolution of the gelato cone.

In today’s TAR conversation, Director of the London Design Festival Ben Evans discussed his work at LDF and the new found enthusiasm for design festivals across the world.

‘There’s been a revolution over the last 10 years – cities want to represent themselves through design – it’s an opportunity to engage the public and show design in different ways.’

Ben curates 8-10 site-specific design projects per year and ran through some of his most successful installations and projects by architects including David Adjaye, Amanda Levete and Thomas Heatherwick. Ben concluded that the Milan and London design festivals are among the best in the world at ‘using public space to voice design.’
