Concession Brands in the Tom Dixon Shop Revealed

Tom has handpicked a number of designers from around the globe to premier their work at The Tom Dixon Shop. The concession brands will alternate quarterly through-out the year to create an energetic and inspiring retail destination. The old Victorian goods carrier is also set to sell the full Tom Dixon range of lighting and furniture including new pieces from the latest collection, ‘Industry’. Scoop, our new upholstered chair and Peg Coat Stand, a totem for hats, coats and bags will be launched with the Fluoro Jack and our accessories range in the new Tom Dixon Shop.

 

The first group of concessions include acclaimed Dutch designer, Piet Hein Eek, who is showing his scrap-wood cabinet collection and a range of accessories never sold before in the UK. New Caribbean Design, an initiative committed to highlighting the design talent of the Caribbean, are also launching a selection of home accessories incorporating craft production, community development and modern design. New York based manufacturer, Areaware are showcasing a collection of playful products ranging from jewellery to pillows created by a group of 16 young designers. Ateliers Ruby, the luxury motorcycle helmet brand unveils 8 limited edition Tom Dixon copper helmets and Copenhagen Lab, launches speakers originally designed by the world famous Danish designer Arne Jacobsen in 1955. Fine Cell Work  sells handmade products made by prisoners from 29 British prisons to include cushions, bags and specially commissioned furniture and Made A Mano has designed a set of unique Lavastone boards made from Etna on Sicily, hand decorated in vibrant colours and patterns, only available through the Tom Dixon Shop. Gråsilver launches a collection of jewellery consisting of rare one off vintages pieces in sterling silver and semi-precious stones designed by celebrated Scandinavian designers such as Georg Jensen and Bjorn Weckstrom.  Sort of Coal present a selection of contemporary handmade products made using Japanese wood stems. The wood stems undergo a pure burning process to produce an organic and eco-friendly White Charcoal with air and water purifying qualities.
