Hex is inspired by the hexagonal constructions found frequently in nature – in beehives and tortoiseshell or in basalt geologies like Giant’s Causeway in Ireland. Hand-hammered in solid copper, the hexagonal pattern is made using the traditional techniques of repousse and chasing, then finished by buffing to a high polish. The copper is not lacquered and will develop a unique patina as it oxidizes. To prevent oxidisation, use for decorative purposes only or with dry food. Humidity and liquids will accelerate the process of oxidisation. Hex is food safe but not dish-washer safe.
