Paramount is the latest of London’s exclusive members clubs. Design Research Studio was invited to create something very special, to differentiate the club from stiff competition.
Inspired by the architecture of the building, the design concept uses the brutalist aesthetic in its geometric forms. Shapes found in the concrete of the building facade are reintroduced to the interior through the design of custom items such as bars, wall panelling and furniture.
Located on levels 31, 32 and 33 of this landmark building, the design ensures that the view remains the key asset for the club. This is done by directing all internal light away from the windows and using matt finishes wherever possible.
